Southpaws often pay extra for a left-hand rifle. The Savage Axis 2 Left Hand in 6.5 Creedmoor keeps the cost low while putting the bolt where it belongs. It has a blue and black finish and a bolt action that suits an honest working rifle.

The 6.5 Creedmoor has a reputation for flat flight and mild recoil, which makes it a favorite for new hunters and long-range plinkers. It handles whitetail well and can reach out at steel targets on a Carolina range. Ammo is common, and the cost per round is fair compared with many other long-range calibers.

The Axis 2 line is Savage's entry-level bolt-action series, and the left-hand build is a practical upgrade for those who shoot lefty. Add a decent scope and a bipod if you plan to use it from the bench. It will not fool anybody into thinking it is a custom gun, but it shoots well and costs little.

This rifle is new. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer of your choice for the background check and transfer.
