Not every shooter fits a full-size rifle. The Savage Axis 2 Green Compact, model 32109, is built for them. It is chambered in.308 Winchester and has a green finish with a shorter stock that suits younger hunters, smaller adults and anyone who wants a handier rifle.

The.308 is one of the most common centerfire rounds in America, and ammo is easy to find on any store shelf in North Carolina. It works for deer, hogs and long-range range days, and it recoils less than a magnum. The compact stock helps new shooters keep a good position without stretching.

Savage's Axis 2 line has an AccuTrigger and a dependable bolt action. It is a budget-friendly rifle that has earned respect for accuracy, especially at this price. If you plan to hunt, add a scope with a clear sight picture and take time to sight it in. Handle it in the store if you can, since fit in the hand tells you more than any description.

This rifle is new. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer of your choice for the background check and transfer.
