A bolt-action.22 is the quiet teacher in a gun safe. It makes a new shooter work the action, watch the sights and think about every shot. The Ruger American Rimfire in.22 Long Rifle has an 18-inch barrel and a satin blued finish that looks traditional on a rifle built for modern use.

Because the bolt action holds one round at a time unless a magazine is loaded, it slows the pace and builds care. That suits young shooters, and it suits experienced hands who want a rifle for squirrels, rabbits and tight groups at the range. The satin blue finish resists glare, which helps in a stand or on a sunny bench.

Ammo for.22 LR is cheap and easy to find across North Carolina. Add a small scope and you have a rifle that can sit in a truck or on a rack and see use every weekend. Clean the bore after a few hundred rounds and it will stay accurate.

This rifle is new. It ships to your North Carolina FFL dealer for the background check and transfer.
