Two calibers in one box is the idea of the Diamondback DB15 Combo. It is a semi-auto AR-15 rifle with a 16-inch barrel, a 30-round magazine and a black finish, listed in 5.56 NATO and 300 BLK. It costs around eleven hundred ninety-two dollars.

Ask your dealer exactly what the combo includes, since a two-caliber package usually means an extra upper or barrel. Swapping between 5.56 and 300 Blackout takes only a few minutes on an AR, and the same lower works for both. 5.56 is a good all-around round, and 300 Blackout hits hard at short range, which fits the thick cover of the Carolinas.

You will need a magazine that works for both, and the right marking on the magazine so you do not mix them up. Keep ammunition clearly separated and labeled. Mount a red dot or low-power scope and sight in each upper at the range. Diamondback is a Florida maker with a good following among budget AR buyers.

This rifle is new. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for the background check and transfer.
