If you want an AR-15 without the usual parts-bin feel, the CMMG Resolute Mk4 is a good place to start. It is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington, with a 16.1" barrel and a 30-round magazine, in black.

The 5.56 cartridge is common, affordable, and available almost everywhere, which makes the rifle simple to feed. A 16.1" barrel is a popular length for a general-purpose rifle, offering good handling and enough velocity for coyote and hog hunting where legal. Wipe the metal down after damp mornings and keep the bore clean, and a rifle like this can last for generations. North Carolina hunts range from thick Piedmont cover to long mountain shots, so match your cartridge to where you hunt.

In North Carolina, many people use ARs for varmints, target shooting, and home defense. The rifle runs from the same controls as the rest of the AR-15 family, so it is easy to find parts and accessories.

It is a larger investment than a budget AR, and the price reflects CMMG's name. Practice with it, keep it clean, and it will run.

New. It ships to your North Carolina FFL dealer for pickup and the background check.
