Elk and big mountain game are the reason the.300 Winchester Magnum exists, and this Browning X-Bolt 2 Mountain Pro SPR is built around that job. The gray finish and the Mountain Pro name point to a rifle meant to be carried up steep country, not parked in a safe. If your hunting runs west of the Blue Ridge or you plan a trip out of state, this is the caliber people reach for.

The X-Bolt 2 is Browning's modern bolt-action hunting platform, and the SPR version here is chambered in.300 Win Mag. That cartridge shoots flat and hits hard, so it asks for a steady rest and some practice. Plan on a good scope, a sling that rides well, and range time with the exact loads you will hunt with.

For North Carolina deer and bear, a.300 Win Mag is more rifle than most hunters need, and the recoil shows it. It earns its price on long shots across open ground and on game that is much larger than a Piedmont whitetail. Pick it for the trip, not the back forty.

This rifle is new. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer of your choice, where you complete the background check and take delivery.
