Bronze Cerakote and a lightweight build make this Browning X-Bolt 2 Mountain Pro SPR a mountain hunting rifle. It is chambered in .300 PRC, a modern magnum cartridge built for long reach and heavy bullets.

The .300 PRC offers flat trajectory and strong energy for elk and other big game, with less recoil than some older magnums of similar power. The Mountain Pro series is lighter than standard X-Bolts, trimmed for carrying uphill. Test your chosen ammunition before you trust it in the field or for carry, and stick with what runs well. A little practice every month beats a long session once a year. Spend an afternoon at the range before the season so you know exactly where it shoots.

Bronze is a color that blends into dry grass and rock, so it suits western hunts. If you plan an elk trip, or shoot long-distance steel in the foothills, you will want a rifle like this. For North Carolina deer, it is far more cartridge than you need, so buy it only if you hunt big game elsewhere.

It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer, where the background check is completed.
