Micro in the name means a smaller, lighter rifle, and this Browning X-Bolt 2 Micro is chambered in the new 6.8 Western. It is a bolt action meant for hunters who need a shorter length of pull, for example youth or smaller adults, or anyone who prefers a nimble rifle.

The 6.8 Western is a modern cartridge designed to shoot flat and deliver energy at long range. Despite that, recoil is moderate in a lightweight rifle. It handles deer and hogs well and can reach out in open country. Ammunition selection is growing, but it is not yet as broad as.308 or.30-06, so stock up on a few boxes when you find them.

The X-Bolt 2 is Browning's refined hunting line, and the Micro size makes it a good first big-game rifle for a growing hunter, provided the price of around thirteen hundred forty dollars fits the budget. Scope it with a light, quality optic and sight in carefully at one hundred yards.

This rifle is new. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for the background check and transfer.
