Smaller frames do not have to settle for a smaller cartridge. The Browning X-Bolt 2 Medallion Compact gives a shorter length of pull but is chambered in.30-06 Springfield, the round that has taken most North American game. It has a blued finish and costs a little over two thousand one hundred dollars.

The compact dimensions fit youth shooters and smaller adults, and many larger hunters like a handy rifle for stand hunting too. Recoil from a.30-06 is real, so a lightweight compact will kick more than a heavier full-size gun. A good recoil pad and proper form help.

The Medallion trim is Browning's refined hunting grade, and the blued steel fits the classic look. The X-Bolt 2 improves on the original with better ergonomics and handling. Ammunition for.30-06 is easy to find, with loads for deer, bear and larger game.

Put a quality scope on it and sight in at one hundred yards, then take time shooting from field positions. This rifle is new. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for the background check and transfer.
