Smaller hunters often get stuck with a rifle that is too long for them, and the compact X-Bolt 2 fixes that. This model is chambered in .270 Winchester and finished in black.

The .270 is a cartridge that has taken deer for a very long time. It shoots flat, kicks moderately, and works well on whitetail in open country and across a field. Ammunition is found at almost any store in the state. Sight it in at 100 yards and write down your holds so you know the rifle before the season opens.

The compact stock has a shorter length of pull, so it fits youths and smaller adults better than a full-size rifle. A rifle that fits you is easier to shoot well, and a rifle you shoot well is more ethical in the field.

Plan to add a scope and take it to the range before opening day.

For a first deer rifle that will still be useful decades from now, this one makes sense. New condition. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for pickup and the background check.
