Dawn on the water gives you a short window, and a semi-auto that cycles fast helps you use it. The Winchester SX4 Waterfowl Hunter is a 12 gauge with a 3" chamber, a 26" barrel, and a 4+1 capacity in Realtree Max-7 camouflage.

The 3" chamber covers the loads most duck and goose hunters shoot. The Max-7 pattern is built for marsh and flooded timber, so the gun blends into cattails and bare branches. A 26" barrel handles well in a blind and swings smooth on passing birds.

Gas-operated semi-autos reduce felt recoil, which keeps you comfortable through a long morning. Be aware that federal rules limit the number of shells you can hold in a shotgun while waterfowl hunting, so check the plug requirement before you go out. It is your responsibility to follow the rules.

Rinse off salt and mud after each hunt, and wipe down the action. A clean gun runs reliably in the cold and wet.

For North Carolina duck hunters from the sounds to the coastal impoundments, this is a straightforward choice. New. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for pickup and the background check.
