Max-7 is Realtree's newer pattern, and on a 20 gauge it makes a light, camouflaged duck gun. The SX4 Waterfowl is a semi-automatic with a 3" chamber and a 26" barrel in Realtree Max-7.
Twenty gauge shoots lighter than a 12, and a gas-operated action softens recoil more. That combination is easier on a youth or a smaller adult, and on anyone who is tired after a long morning. A 26" barrel is a handy length in a blind. A recoil pad and a bit of range time go a long way toward comfortable shooting.
Max-7 is designed for marsh, flooded timber, and winter cover, which suits the coastal sounds and river bottoms of North Carolina. Waterfowl rules limit the shells you can hold, so use a plug as needed.
Twenty gauge works fine on ducks with steel or other approved shot if you keep your shots within range. A good pattern at 30 yards is better than a poor one at 50.
Wipe it down and keep it clean after wet days. Listed new. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for pickup and the background check.
