Longer barrels give geese and ducks more time to fly into the pattern, and this Winchester SX4 Hybrid Hunter is a 28 inch version. It is a 12 gauge with a 3.5 inch chamber, a four-round capacity, an FDE finish and Realtree Timber camouflage.

The 3.5 inch chamber opens the door to heavy waterfowl loads and magnum turkey shells. The 28 inch barrel gives a smooth swing and good pointability, so it suits waterfowlers who shoot over decoys and anyone who likes a longer sight line. The gas-operated semi-auto action takes edge off the recoil of those big shells. Test your chosen ammunition before you trust it in the field or for carry, and stick with what runs well.

Realtree Timber is a woodland pattern, which makes it equally at home on a turkey hunt or in flooded timber. FDE sets off the camo and helps the metal resist weather. For hunting along the sounds, or the Roanoke and Tar rivers, that mix is helpful.

Choose steel shot for waterfowl and keep your chokes matched to the shells. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer, where you complete the background check at pickup.
