Fieldmaster is the name Remington uses for a pump meant for the field, and it comes with a synthetic stock that shrugs off weather. This 870 Fieldmaster is a 12 gauge with a 26" barrel and a four-round capacity, in black.
A synthetic stock does not swell or warp in a wet duck blind, and it stands up to bumps in a boat or truck. The 870 action has been a standard for pump shotguns for a long time, and parts are widely available, so it is easy to maintain. Pattern your chosen load on a large sheet of paper at the distance you expect to shoot, because every shotgun prints a little differently.
A 26" barrel handles well. It points naturally for doves and clay birds and carries comfortably across fields.
Many hunters like a pump because it keeps working in mud and cold and costs less than a semi-auto. If you have only ever shot an autoloader, you may find a pump slower, but it teaches good habits.
Clean and oil it after hunts. New condition. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for pickup and the background check.
