Tan is not a color you see often on a field shotgun, and it makes a nice change. The Mossberg Flex 500 Hunting is a 12 gauge pump with a 28" barrel and a six-round capacity, in tan.
Flex refers to the interchangeable stock system. You can change the stock to suit the shooter or the job, which is handy in a family where several people share a gun. A 28" barrel is long enough for good field performance on birds and clay targets. A recoil pad and a bit of range time go a long way toward comfortable shooting. It is a gun to carry through brush, a boat, or a field, so give it the care a working tool deserves.
Tan blends with dry fields and sandy ground, and it looks different from the usual camo and black. It is a cosmetic choice, but one you may like if you hunt dove fields or open ground in the fall.
Six rounds in the tube gives you plenty for a day's shoot. A pump gun is simple to run and costs less than a semi-auto.
New condition. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for pickup and the background check.
