Long days afield call for a gun that is light for its size, and the A300 Ultima weighs 7.62 pounds. It is a 12 gauge with a 3.0" chamber, a 28" ribbed barrel, a 3-round capacity, and an adjustable choke in Realtree Max-7. Take a few boxes of your usual load to the pattern board before opening day.

The maker says the Ultima has a larger bolt handle and bolt release for easier use in poor conditions, plus the Kick-Off recoil reduction system for stability and comfort. That helps when you are cold, wearing gloves, and trying to get the next shot off. The Max-7 pattern is new and suits marsh and flooded timber.

A ribbed 28" barrel gives a smooth swing, and the adjustable choke lets you tune your pattern to the shot. For waterfowl on the North Carolina coast or doves in a farm field, that is a flexible setup.

Wipe down the gun after wet days and watch the gas system for fouling. Beretta's A300 line has a good name for reliability.

New. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer you choose for pickup and the background check.
