Benelli puts its pump gun in a single molded synthetic stock, and the Nova 3 Field brings that to hunters. It is a 12 gauge with a 26" barrel, a four-round capacity, and Mossy Oak Bottomland style camo.

Bottomland is a pattern made for wet timber, which suits the swamps and creek bottoms of eastern North Carolina. The synthetic stock does not swell in humid weather, and it tolerates rough handling. A 26" barrel balances well for ducks, geese, and doves. Take a young or new shooter along and teach safe handling before the first shot. Store it unloaded and locked, and keep shells in a separate dry place.

A pump action is a good choice for hunters who want to shoot many kinds of loads. You can run light target loads or heavier magnum shells without adjusting anything.

Pumps are slower than semi-autos, but they cost less and have fewer parts to fail. For a hunter who values simplicity, a Nova is a good choice.

Wipe it down after wet days. New. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for pickup and the background check.
