A 21-inch barrel on a semi-auto 12 gauge is short by field standards, and that is the point. The Benelli M2 Field here is built for handiness in thick cover, turkey woods and deer slug seasons. It holds 3 rounds and wears a black finish.

Benelli's inertia-driven action is known for staying clean and running fast. It has fewer parts in the gas system to foul, so it works well in dusty or wet conditions. The short barrel swings quickly and is easy to move through brush and into a blind. For turkey, a short barrel with a tight choke can work well.

The black finish suits turkey woods too, as you can wear camo and sit still. Recoil in a 12 gauge is stout, but the action softens it, and a good recoil pad helps. At around fifteen hundred forty-five dollars it is a good-quality gun that should last decades. Pattern the gun with your preferred load before you head afield.

This shotgun is new. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer of your choice for the background check and transfer.
