Taurus put a red dot cut on an affordable full-size pistol, and the G3 T.O.R.O. is the result. It is a black 9mm with a 4" barrel that accepts 15 and 17-round magazines.

T.O.R.O. stands for Taurus Optic Ready Option. That means the slide is cut for a red dot, so you can add a sight without paying a machinist. Spend time with the controls at home with the pistol unloaded and checked, so the draw and grip feel natural before you go to the range.

A 4" barrel is a classic carry and home defense length, and 15 or 17 rounds is plenty. The price is low compared with other optic-ready pistols, which makes it a useful choice for a first optic-ready 9mm.

Any budget pistol deserves a break-in period. Shoot a few hundred rounds of your carry ammunition and see how it feels. If it runs well for you, it will serve you for years.

Keep the pistol clean and the magazines in good shape. New. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for pickup and the background check.
