Tritium night sights at this price are a rarity. The Stoeger STR-9 here comes with them, a 4.17-inch barrel and a 15-round magazine, in black for around four hundred twenty-seven dollars. For someone who wants a home defense pistol that can be used in the dark, that is a nice combination.

Tritium sights glow without needing light or batteries, so they are ready when you need them, and they last for years. The 4.17-inch barrel gives a full sight radius, and the grip is full size, so the pistol is stable for shooters with larger hands.

The STR-9 is a simple striker-fired design with a plain look. It is not a competition pistol, but it is a workhorse. Some owners like to upgrade the trigger or add a light, and rails are present for accessory mounting. Pick a holster made for the STR-9 if you plan to carry.

Break the pistol in with a couple hundred rounds, and test your ammunition for reliability. Confirm the contents of the box with your dealer at pickup. This pistol is new. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer of your choice for the background check and transfer.
