The XD Sub-Compact has been a carry staple since the original XD line came out. This one is chambered in .40 S&W with a 3" barrel and a two-tone finish, and it takes 9 and 12-round magazines.

The two magazine sizes are the clever part. A flush 9-round magazine keeps the pistol small for concealment, while a 12-round magazine with an extended base gives you more capacity and a fuller grip. That lets you tune the pistol to your clothing and your day. Dry-fire practice, done safely with an empty and checked pistol, builds a clean trigger press for almost nothing.

The .40 S&W kicks harder than 9mm, and in a sub-compact, you will feel it. Practice is important, and so is a firm grip. Many shooters who try one at a range end up preferring a 9mm for comfort, so consider that before you buy.

Two-tone means a contrast between slide and frame, which looks sharp and hides some wear. The XD has a grip safety and a striker indicator, features the maker is known for.

New condition. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for pickup and the background check.
