Springfield's XD Mod.2 pistol came in several sizes, and this one is a sub-compact in.45 ACP with a 3.3-inch barrel. It is priced around six hundred eighty-three dollars. Ask your dealer to confirm the finish and the full configuration.

The.45 ACP is a larger cartridge than most carry pistols this size use. In a sub-compact frame, it has a snappy feel, so expect more recoil than you get from a 9mm. For people who like the.45's reputation, this pistol packs it into a size that conceals well.

The XD Mod.2 grip texture gives a firm hold, and the pistol is light enough to carry on a belt. Practice is very important with a small.45, because recoil can affect your aim. If you are new to the type, a short lesson from a patient friend pays off quickly.

Holsters made for the XD Mod.2 sub-compact are common. Before you carry it, put a couple hundred rounds through it with your chosen ammunition to check reliability and handling. This pistol is new. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for the background check and transfer.
