Concealed carry in North Carolina rarely means a big pistol, and the Shield Plus is a good example of what works. It is a black 9mm with a 3.1" barrel and a 10-round magazine, with a slide cut for a red dot.

Slim pistols like this one carry well inside the waistband. The 3.1" barrel is short enough to hide under a T-shirt in a Raleigh summer, and the optic cut lets you add a small dot sight when you are ready. If you carry without an optic, standard sights work just as well. Spend time with the controls at home with the pistol unloaded and checked, so the draw and grip feel natural before you go to the range.

The Shield family is among the most common carry pistols on the market, so holsters, magazines, and accessories are easy to find at any gun counter. That is an underrated advantage when you want to try different gear.

Practice is where a carry pistol pays off. Shoot it enough that the draw and the first shot become natural.

New. Ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for pickup and the background check.
