The Performance Center Shield is a slim pistol with upgraded features, and this one comes with a 4 MOA red dot sight already mounted. It is chambered in.40 S&W with a 4-inch barrel and a 6-round capacity, in black. The price is around eight hundred fifty dollars.

Smith & Wesson says the Shield is easy to conceal and simple to operate, with reliable performance day or night. The Performance Center version brings extra touches that make it more refined. A red dot arrives ready to use, which saves you the cost of buying one and having it fitted.

The pistol weighs around 1.42 pounds, so it carries easily. Because the.40 S&W kicks more than a 9mm, a slim pistol like this can feel snappy. Spend range time getting comfortable, and make sure the dot is zeroed to your liking before you rely on it.

Chambering in.40 means spare magazines hold fewer rounds, so many carriers keep a second one on the belt. Choose a holster made for a Shield with an optic. This pistol is new. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer of your choice for the background check and transfer.
