The .40 S&W was once the police standard, and it still has fans. This SIG Sauer P320 is chambered in it, with a 4.7" barrel, a 14-round magazine, and a black finish.

The P320 is a modular, striker-fired pistol. The part with the serial number is the fire control unit, and the grip module can be changed to fit your hand. That is the main idea behind the design. Many North Carolina permit holders spend more on training than on the gun, and that is money well spent. Store it unloaded and locked when it is not on your body, especially if there are children in the house.

A 4.7" barrel is full-size, which makes it steady on the range and a good duty-style pistol. The .40 S&W has more recoil than 9mm, with a firm snap that some shooters like and others do not. Ammunition costs more than 9mm too.

If you already have .40 magazines or a holster collection, this pistol will fit right in. If you are buying your first, consider a 9mm for the cheaper practice.

Listed new. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for pickup and the background check.
