If you want a 1911 that hits hard, 10mm Auto is the cartridge. The Kimber Rampart is chambered in it, with a 5" barrel, an 8-round magazine, an OD Green finish, and a compensator. It is a pistol to buy on purpose, not on impulse.

The 10mm is a favorite of North Carolina hunters who go after hogs and for people who walk in bear country. It carries more energy than a 9mm or .45, and the compensator helps tame recoil so follow-up shots stay on target. Clean it after each range trip and wipe the slide down in humid weather to keep the finish looking good.

Kimber's 1911 line is known for tight tolerances and good fit. A single-action trigger on a 1911 is crisp, which helps you shoot accurately at distance.

Be ready for the cost of ammunition. 10mm costs more than 9mm and makes more noise and recoil, so practice before you rely on it in the field.

This is a serious pistol with a price to match. New. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for pickup and the background check.
