Kimber is best known for its 1911s, and the CDS9 Compact brings that attention to detail to a modern carry pistol. It is a 9mm with an optic-ready slide, an accessory rail and a black finish.

Optic ready means you can mount a red dot on the slide, which a growing number of carry permit holders now prefer. The rail lets you attach a light, and many people like a light on a pistol kept for home defense. Together those features make the CDS9 flexible for either carry or the nightstand.

Compact pistols print less under a shirt, and they are easier to carry all day than full-size guns. Spend time on the range with the exact ammunition you plan to carry, and practice drawing from your holster. If you live near Charlotte or Raleigh, you may spend long hours in a vehicle, so think about how you will store it. Ask your dealer any questions about the box contents before the transfer.

This pistol is new. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for the background check and transfer.
