Some AR pistols are made to look mean; this one is made to be useful in tight places. The Great Lakes Firearms model has a 7.5" barrel chambered in .223 Wylde, an arm brace, and a nitride black finish. If you plan to take it afield, add a sling and a simple optic. Check the transport rules in each county you cross before you travel with it.

Nitride is a hard surface treatment that resists wear and corrosion, so the barrel and parts stay tough under use. That helps if you carry it in a truck or shoot a lot. The .223 Wylde chamber takes both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition, so you can buy whatever is available. Clean it after each range trip and wipe the slide down in humid weather to keep the finish looking good.

A 7.5" barrel is short, which makes the gun handy but loud. It is a good fit for close work, such as clearing hogs around a feeder, if the laws in your area allow. Treat it as a pistol and learn how braces are regulated.

New. It ships to a North Carolina FFL dealer for pickup and the background check.
